Preparations are already in hand to make a success of the 2009 Irish Wine Show. NOffLA WSET Diploma and Higher Certificate holders will gather in Dublin on Wednesday 12 August to participate in the blind tasting to select the wines for the Gold Star Awards 2009. Tasting panels will be chaired by leading Irish wine writers. Winning a Gold Star Award is a distinctive accolade for the featured wines and also provides a strong marketing platform, particularly in the all-important pre-Christmas selling period.
The 2009 Irish Wine Show will be held at The Pavillion at Leopardstown Racecourse, Dublin 18, on Tuesday, 29 September, from 10.30am to 5pm. This will be the ninth wine show hosted by the National Off-Licence Association at which the Gold Star Awards are presented and is now part of the industry’s calendar of not-to-be missed events.
